Third Anniversary Party February 13th – 16th!!!

Each year, our anniversary party allows us the opportunity to run wild with a beer – to see how far we can push it. This year, we decided to test the limits of our yeast, and the results were impressive.

Modest indeed.

Modest indeed.

Anniversary Ale #3, a 17.2% ABV Biere de Garde, will debut Friday, February 13th at 1pm in the taproom! It’ll stay on tap for the weekend, serving as the centerpiece for a four-day extravaganza. Other events include:

Friday, February 13th: The kickoff tapping! First pours of Anniversary Ale #3 go out at 1pm. We’ll also have bombers to go ($15 each, half-case limit).  Bursting with notes of stone fruit and complemented by citrus and anise esters, Anny Ale 3 will remain on tap all weekend.

Saturday, February 14th: Come enjoy Valentine’s Day with three years of Anniversary Ale! The last kegs of both Anniversary 1 (12.5% Stout) and Anniversary 2 (10.2% Golden Strong Ale) tap at 1pm. Our good friends from Roaming Bull Brasserie will also join us with their killer tapas menu.

Sunday, February 15th: We’ll raid our reserves for rare bottles from the past two years and have a cellar sale! Exact format and options will be announced later, but what you need to know is this will include bottles from the past two years! Sale starts at 1pm, first come, first served.

Monday, February 16th: Since it’s Presidents’ Day, we’ll keep the party rolling and open early at 1pm. Special rare tappings will continue throughout the day as kegs kick.

So while Anniversary Ale #3 will stay on tap, we also have other goodies to pour. Throughout the weekend, follow us on Twitter for tappings as they happen. Possible kegs include Barrel Reserve 2013 & 2014, Whiskey Barrel Quandary 2013 & 2015, Big City Quad, Oud Bruin and the ever-elusive J. Marie Barreled & Bretted. Most of these kegs are the last of their kind in the brewery, so don’t miss your favorite tapping!

For those that can’t make it, more bottles will hit store shelves in Colorado following the release.

It’s been a crazy three years…thanks to all those who have supported us and allow us to continue doing what we love!

Whiskey Barrel Quandary returns January 17th!

One beer was missing from our holiday releases last year. Sometimes, a barrel just needs some extra time. But now, we’re excited to announce that this juggernaut is ready…

The 2015 vintage of Whiskey Barrel Quandary drops Saturday, January 17th at 1pm in the taproom!

Big enough to keep you warm on top of the fourteener that bears its name, Whiskey Barrel Quandary is loaded with notes of ripe plum, rich specialty malts and whiskey kick. Aged in rye and bourbon barrels, this 100% barrel-aged blend finished at 12.7% ABV.

Both draft pours and bombers-to-go will be available at the release party. With 120 cases bottled, bombers will cost $15 with a half-case limit. More bombers will see store shelves in Colorado and Kansas City in the weeks following the release.

This is one of our favorite beers to cellar. We highly recommend you grab some extra bottles to sit on.

Whiskey Barrel Quandary is only the beginning of a busy 2015 for us. Look for Anniversary Ale #3 next month, and a new low-grav farmhouse ale in 16-ounce cans in March.

Cheers to a tasty year!
