Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We have a busy month to finish off 2014 with events in both Colorado and Kansas City. Read through for all the details.
Tuesday, December 2nd: All month, Historian’s Ale House will feature River North as part of their brewery of the month program, with six beers on tap! To kick everything off, we’ll host Beer School on Tuesday the 2nd. Come learn how Belgian yeast creates our unique brews! Throughout the month we’ll also host other events, like Keep the Glass or Meet the Brewers nights!
Wednesday, December 3rd: We’re headed to Boulder for an incredible tap takeover at Backcountry Pizza and Taphouse. Somehow, they managed to sit on a keg of Anniversary Ale #1 for nearly two years! One of only two kegs left in existence, if you haven’t tried this 12.5% Imperial Stout, don’t miss this chance! They’ll also tap Big City Quad, Whiskey Barrel J. Marie, and some other goodies.
Saturday, December 6th: Parade of Darks beer festival! Join us just up the street as we pour Avarice and Quandary to celebrate winter warmers. Tickets still available here.
Monday, December 8th: Craft Beer Night at Tony P’ Highland location! Taste free samples and help pick the next beer to go on tap!
Tuesday, December 9th: For Colorado Gives Day, we’re partnering with Children’s Future to join fundraising efforts across the state. All day on the 9th, $2 of every beer sold in the taproom will go directly to charity. Come drink for a cause!
Thursday, December 11th: Pint Night at Historian’s Ale House! As part of our Brewery of the Month feature, we’ll be giving out glassware and other gear with every beer purchase. Patrick will also be in the house to answer any beer or brewing questions.
Saturday, December 13th: Here’s the big one: Barrel Aged Avarice!
One of our most anticipated releases of the year, we’re excited to tap batch three of this annual tradition. Rich with molasses and coffee notes, this year’s rendition was aged in both rye whiskey and bourbon barrels. Both bombers and draft pours available starting at 1pm. More bombers will hit store shelves in Colorado and Kansas City following the taproom release. Don’t forget your cellar bottles!
And if that weren’t enough, the release party will feature a three-year vertical of Barrel Aged Avarice!!! Draft only, the 2012 keg is the oldest one in the cellar!
Also on Saturday the 13th, we’ll join our neighborhood brewers to celebrate Denver beer at Festivus! We always like to bring something real special to this one…tickets still available here.
Thursday, December 18th: Matt and Jess head back to Kansas City! On the 18th we’ll host a beer dinner at Happy Gillis Cafe & Hangout in Missouri. The menu is a secret until the day of the event…come see what they’ve cooked up for you and pick Matt’s brain about beer!
Friday, December 19th: Kansas City, your last chance to catch us out and about in 2014 will be at Lukas Liquors on the Kansas side of the border. Free samples of River North beer, poured by the owners themselves!
Friday, December 19th: We’ll host one more tasting at one of the best bottle shops we’ve ever seen, Small Batch Liquors. These guys have an incredible lineup of our barrel-aged beers…come get something nice for the holidays! Pouring 4-7pm.
And just as a heads up, the taproom will be closed December 24th through 26th, reopening on the 27th. We’ll also have normal hours New Year’s Eve, and close New Year’s Day.
