Introducing River North IPA! Debuts Saturday, April 26th!

After we canned the White, we all knew what we wanted next. Everyone loved BPR: the brewers, the Locals…everyone. And there’s nothing more Colorado than a pint of hops in a can.

And so, on Saturday April 26th at 1pm, we give you River North IPA!

Yes, we did change the name and tweak the recipe. While BPR was a fun little joke, the new moniker just works better for the shelf. And the new version will still have all the hoppy red Belgian goodness you’ve come to love. After all, BPR was Matt’s original Belgian IPA recipe.

To get the hops to your mouth as fresh as possible, we’ll can and keg IPA the day before the release party. We’ll sell four-packs of pint cans for $10 to go, and of course, keep it on draft throughout the party and beyond.

At 6.0% ABV and 55 IBU, IPA combines the pine and citrus notes of American hops with white pepper and clove yeast esters, putting our signature spin on a classic style. It’ll treat you well at the top of a fourteener or as your go-to après. We’re just as excited to take it on an adventure as you.

We’ll catch you a week from Saturday. Cheers to summer!

CBC in Denver!

This week, Denver will host the Craft Brewer’s Conference, and we couldn’t be more excited to show visitors how we do things here in the Mile High City.

We have a great lineup of events for the week, including a collaboration beer with some of our favorite Colorado breweries!

We teamed up with Left Hand, Bristol, Ska, Funkwerks and our distributor CR Goodman to brew a Belgian Black IPA called “The Goodman Life.” You can find it starting next week in our taproom and at the best bars around Denver.

Here’s what else we have in store:

Tuesday, April 8th, 12pm: Pilot beer and tap takeover at Hops & Pie! Trent and Drew got together to brew a Belgian Dubbel with tart cherries. Only two kegs exist, and the first will be tapped at Hops & Pie at 11am. They’ll also tap a keg of J. Marie Barreled & Bretted, along with some other RNB brews. The kegs go on when HnP opens, and Trent will be there around noon to talk about the beers.

Wednesday, April 9th, 3pm: Wayward Wednesday! B-Side Avarice and Barrel-Aged Avarice on tap together. Come help settle the eternal debate: which barrel-aged Imperial Stout reigns supreme?

Thursday, April 10th, 3pm: B-Side-by-Side! Both B-Side Avarice and B-Side Quandary will flow in the taproom. NOTE: This is the absolute last keg of B-Side Quandary!

Friday, April 11th, 6pm: We’re teaming up with Funkwerks to bring you a Belgian beer and bluegrass extravaganza, “Funky River,” at the Denver Bicycle Cafe. Three taps from each brewery. We’ll bring three versions of J. Marie: classic, Wine Barrel Aged and J. Marie Barreled & Bretted. Bluegrass band Timber will take the stage around 9pm, and Brewer Derek will be there sippin’ brews and enjoying some twang.

Saturday, April 12th, 1pm: The grand finale at the taproom! Our friends at CR Goodman will setup their draft trailer outside the taproom, providing the perfect opportunity to celebrate Colorado beer under the Denver sunshine! We’ll have multiple rare and barrel-aged beers on tap throughout the day, and El Toro the Tot will serve their handmade burgers and tater tots. Should be the perfect way to finish off the week!
