GABF Taproom Lineup (and Denver Beer Fest)!

It’s almost here! The most wonderful time of the year. We’ve been anxiously awaiting the Great American Beer Fest since we opened in February, and to celebrate, we’ll be rolling out special releases every day in the taproom, in addition to pouring at the fest, of course!

We’ll start with the bare bones info, then descriptions will follow…

  • Saturday, 10/6 – River North White aged in white wine. 1pm. Food: Fat Sully’s Pizza.
  • Sunday, 10/7 – River North White aged in whiskey. 1pm. Food truck: Orange Crunch.

  • Wayward releases throughout as tap lines free.

Friday, October 5th: Barrel Series No. 1, J. Marie Saison aged in whiskey. Our first barrel-aged offering, this beer recently received a 91/100 in the September issue of BeerAdvocate Magazine. Spent – pretzels/baked goods made with RNB spent grain.

Saturday, October 6th: A never before seen offering: Barrel Series No. 5, River North White aged in white wine barrels. This is our latest barrel-aged baby, a session-able Belgian Wit with oak and grape notes. Like a fine Chardonnay, but beer! Food truck: Fat Sully’s Pizza.

Sunday, October 7th: Another brand new addition: Barrel Series No. 6, River North White aged in whiskey barrels. The bold, brash twin of the previous day’s release, we bet you’ve never tried anything like this. The whiskey barrel pulls out sweeter notes in our traditional Belgian wit, simultaneously delighting the taste buds and turning you on to yet another unconventional combination. Food truck: Orange Crunch.

Monday, October 8th: A house favorite, Barrel Series No. 4, Belgian Pale Red (BPR) aged in whiskey. Belgian yeast, hops and whiskey…how can you not want that?

Tuesday, October 9th: For those that weren’t in town for Denver Beer Fest, we will bring back Barrel Series No. 1, J. Marie Saison aged in whiskey.

Wednesday, October 10th: The day before GABF we’reĀ  gonna crank it up a notch for all the out-of-towners coming to see what Denver beer is really about. For the first time at River North, we will have a side-by-side-by-side barrel-aged tasting. Our classic River North White, plus both the white-wine aged and whiskey-aged versions. This way, you can try the same beer three different ways, to experience how barrel-aging can create entirely new flavor profiles with otherwise identical ingredients. Food truck: Fat Sully’s Pizza.

Thursday, October 11th: Our most limited release of the week, we’ll bring back an old favorite, Barrel Series No. 3, Quandary Quadrupel aged in whiskey. Oak and whiskey notes blend with the dark fruit characteristic of a Belgian-style Strong Dark Ale, elevating this already big beer to another level. Food truck: Fat Sully’s Pizza.

Friday, October 12th: One more chance for those who missed it the week before to try Barrel Series No. 4, BPR aged in whiskey. Food truck: Fat Sully’s Pizza.

Saturday, October 13th: Avarice Belgian-style Imperial Stout. While this bad boy is on tap currently, it will run out in the next few days, so we’re stashing a final keg in case it medals and the masses come running for it. Either way, it’ll be on tap the final day of GABF. Plus we’ll throw on whatever barrel-aged brews we have left, just for good measure. Spent – pretzels/baked goods made with RNB spent grain.

Sunday, October 14th: For those hardy enough to tough it out for one last day, we’ll bring back a locals favorite, Quandary Quadrupel, which has been sold out for a few weeks now in the taproom. This will give you a chance to try it side-by-side with our new Quad, RN^4. Again, we’ll likely tap a barrel-aged beer as well, if supply allows. Food truck: Crazy Good Food.

In addition to the set tappings, we will also throw on some experimental Wayward brews whenever we have an open tap line. And if that wasn’t enough, there may be one late barrel-aged addition to the party.

Stay tuned for updates and don’t forget your drankin’ shoes!
